Enterprise-Ozark Community Colleges Enterprise Campus was the scene for the annual Youth College activities for children entering Grades 2-8. Exciting, full-filled, educational classes such as Weird Science, Working with Clay, Space Cadets, Abracadabra, and Mystery Sleuth among many captured the minds and hearts of participants.

Among the topics covered in this class, Farley said the students learned about taking care of hair, nails, and skin, as well as glamour and exercise. What would the annual Youth College at Enterprise-Ozark Community College be like without arts and craft classes? Joining Working with Clay, Scrapbooking, and Drawing Can Be Fun this year was Kids R Crafty. Showing off some of the edible art are the students of instructor Carrie Thomas who said her students created beautifully decorated cookies on the last day of the class. So You Think You Can Dance was the title of just one of a large array of exciting classes offered in Enterprise-Ozark Community Colleges annual Youth College at the Enterprise Campus. Breanah Pattie, Cassidy Clark, Jessica Brandon, and Alexis Winsor, all of Enterprise, show some of the great dance steps they were practicing under the tutelage of instructor Suzanna Stokes. This class was a nice complement with Girls and Guys on Broadway. These students joined others participating in classes for children entering Grades 2-8.

Enterprise-Ozark Community Colleges annual Youth College held on the Enterprise Campus brought back the favorite class Working with Clay with instructor and long-time potter David Plunkett. On the last day of class, participants worked together to create a sculpture which featured all of their signatures. A second session of Enterprise-Ozark Community Colleges Youth College is scheduled for July 13-16 at the Fort Rucker Site. Classes include arts and crafts, magic, science, golf, and more. Participating children must be entering Grades 2-8 this coming fall. Each course has a $25 registration fee and is limited to 10-25 students. Some classes also have additional supply fees. A student registering for the maximum of three classes will receive a free Youth College T-shirt. Registrations must be made in person at Building 4502 at the Fort Rucker Site, with registration fees due at that time. Enterprise-Ozark Community College is offering a Baseball Academy for the summer of 2009! The Academy is based on all aspects of the game of baseball. HITTING, BUNTING, FIELDING, BASE RUNNING, PITCHING, and CATCHING fundamentals will all be covered. The Academy will be based on weekly needs. Players sign up by the week, and can continue if they like their progress. There will be two time sessions available if needed.
The Academy is also offering a TEAM concept; summer and travel teams can come in and get instruction on how to play together. Coaches from the league teams can bring their ideas into the instruction to make sure we are teaching what the coaches want. All-Stars is coming soon, make sure your team is ready to compete at the highest level.

Three Ways to Register
- By Phone: Call 334-598-3438 or 334-347-2623, ext. 2233. Provide registration information along with a Visa or MasterCard number.
- In Person: Come to the Student Services in Lurleen B. Wallace Hall-Student Center on the Enterprise Campus, or to Building #4502 at the EOCC Fort Rucker Site.
- By Mail: Send your name, address, social security number, birth date, and telephone number, along with course information. Enclose a check made payable to EOCC to cover your fees, and mail to EOCC Community Services, P.O. Box 1300, Enterprise, AL 36331.

ENTERPRISE CAMPUS
Pottery Shoppe
You have the chance to challenge your creativity while working with clay. This class is designed for adults who have no experience with clay and for those who have worked with clay in the past. Students who have been enrolled in previous Potter Shoppe classes will be able to learn new techniques. Each student will complete at least one piece of HAND-BUILD pottery and must purchase clay and tools for $23 at the first class session. June 29-August 3, Mondays, 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. Fee: $40. REGISTRATION DEADLINE: June 22
REFUND POLICY: If a course is cancelled, all persons enrolled will be notified and full refunds will be made. Anyone who registers and then decides to withdraw from a course may request a refund. All requests must be received in writing. A full refund is made when a request is received prior to the first scheduled class meeting. A 75% refund is made when a request is received before the second scheduled class meeting. Refunds are not made after the second scheduled class meeting. |

Free Adult Education Classes |
Adult education classess provide adults an opportunity to learn to read, prepare for the GED test of high school equivalency, or learn English as a second language. All classes are free and are offered at various locations. If you are 16 years old or older and not enrolled in public school, you are eligible. You must take an Assessment Test prior to attending classes. BASIC SKILLS/PREPARATION FOR THE GED TEST teaches basic skills in reading, English, and mathematics and/or prepares you for the GED test of high school equivalency. Individualized instruction is available. Some locations also offer computerized instruction.
- The EOCC Enterprise Campus, Monday-Thursday, from 9:00 a.m.-Noon and from 6:00-9:00 p.m., and Tuesday and Thursday, from 1:00-4:00 p.m. in Wallace Hall, Room 202.
- The EOCC Ft. Rucker Site,Tuesday and Thursday, from 9:00 a.m.-Noon in Bldg. 4502, Room 312.
- The EOCC Ozark Aviation Campus, Monday and Wednesday, from 9:00-Noon, and Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 6:00-9:00 p.m. in Brown Building, Room 102.

| English as a Second Language provides beginning, intermediate, and advanced instruction in English for non-native speakers. Emphasis includes speaking, listening, reading, and writing. FREE classes are offered at Enterprise-Ozark Community College's Enterprise Campus. Three separate sessions are scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00-11:00 a.m. and 6:00-9:00 p.m., Wednesdays from 8:00-11:00 a.m., and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00-6:00 p.m. To find out more call 347-2623, ext. 2218. |

Free Adult Ed and ESL Training |
| Training is now offered FREE at Enterprise-Ozark Community College for those persons interested in volunteering assistance for regularly scheduled Adult Education or English as a Second Language classes. Volunteers are needed for tutoring, computer software assistance, recordkeeping, clerical, testing, and new student orientation. For more information, call 334-347-2623, ext. 2218. |

| The GED Test of High School Equivalency will be administered at Enterprise-Ozark Community College. Also, adults who pass the GED Test will be given a one-course scholarship to attend any two-year college in Alabama. FREE classes to assist students in preparing for the exam are available at the EOCC Main Campus, the Ft. Rucker Site, and the Ozark Campus, as well as other sites in Coffee, Dale, Geneva, and Pike Counties.
